J & L Mirrors has been producing and shipping, our one of a kind mirrors around the entire US. since 2003.
It started with the creation of our unique hand finished textured glass. Which now includes 76 color choices, and three choices of textured glass. We start with sheets of clear textured art glass and then our artists tranform them into beautiful works of art with brilliant colors and patterns.
When we developed this process for coating glass we had the expressed intention of using this revolutionary new product to address an existing need to not only offer custom mirror fabrication, but to make them works of art.
So, in 2003 we started producing and marketing our new art glass mirrors. Every mirror being made to order by one of our glass craftsman who start by hand cutting the mirror and each individual piece of art glass, then fitting, adjusting and assembling all the pieces in exactly the same way a leaded stained glass window is made. They then hand solders all the joints, clean & buffs the metal to a satin finish which is finally sealed with a black glaze.
Each finished mirror has been invested with a great deal of time and effort and carries the pride of the one who made it. We feel even in this day and age in our disposable society it is important to produce a product that will last for generations to come.
